St. Joseph native to make MLB debut

TAMPA, Fla. (News-Press NOW) -- St. Joseph Native, Noah Cameron has been called up to the big leagues.

Cameron, a left-handed pitcher who started the season on Kansas City's AAA team in Omaha, played ball at Central High School and at Central Arkansas.

Manager Matt Quartraro said Cameron will start in place of Cole Ragans, who is currently nursing a groin injury.

Cameron has started in five games for the Omaha Storm Chasers with a 3.22 ERA across 22.1 innings.

The Royals will play their second game in a three-day stretch against the Tampa Bay Rays in Tampa, Fla. on Wednesday, April 30 at 6:05 p.m.
