Tracking a cool and potentially frosty Thursday morning

Good morning, St. Joseph, and happy Thursday! We’re almost to Halloween, and we’re starting the morning off on a very cold note. You’ll definitely want those heavy jackets, and maybe even gloves and warm layers, as temperatures are sitting in the low to mid-30s with wind chills making it feel even colder.

A Frost Advisory is in effect from 4 AM to 8 AM due to the potential for frost on sensitive vegetation. If you still have plants outside, it’s a good idea to bring them in or cover them especially with more cold mornings ahead through the end of the week.

A little patchy fog is possible around sunrise, but otherwise we stay dry with a few clouds today. This afternoon we warm into the mid-50s, near 55°, under mostly sunny skies.

Looking ahead to Halloween, we’re just a touch warmer than today, and the forecast stays dry for trick-or-treating. Evening temperatures will fall quickly into the mid-40s, eventually dipping into the upper 30s to low 30s overnight, so make sure costumes have an extra layer underneath!

Overnight lows stay in the 30s through Sunday, and daytime highs stay mainly in the low 50s on Saturday. We finally warm back into the 60s as we head into next week, with dry weather continuing through the middle of next week.
