Tracking warm & windy conditions for Sunday

Today is another well above-average day, with high temperatures reaching into the upper 70s. As we head through the rest of the evening, temperatures will continue to stay well above average, remaining in the mid- to upper 70s. Overnight temperatures will only be in the 60s.

Looking ahead to Sunday, we’ll see even warmer conditions. Highs are expected to climb into the mid- to upper 80s—about 10 to 20 degrees above normal for this time of year. Overnight lows will drop into the 60s, which is actually closer to our typical daytime highs for early October.

We’ll stay mostly dry on Sunday, but a few scattered showers may develop after sunset ahead of an approaching cold front. That front will move through late Sunday night into early Monday morning, bringing rain showers through much of the day on Monday.

The rain will likely be light and scattered in nature, so we’re not expecting a total washout. There will be dry periods throughout the day.

Behind the front, we’ll see a return to more seasonable temperatures. Monday’s highs will fall into the low 70s, followed by upper 60s on Tuesday. By Wednesday, we start to warm up again into the low 70s, and by the end of the week, we’ll see a return of upper 70s to low 80s.
