Rezoning Development 447 N. 17th

(Published in the St. Joseph News-Press Fri. 9/26/25) NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING WHEREAS, on August 28, 2025, the Planning Commission of the City of St. Joseph, Missouri, recommended APPROVAL of the following rezoning requested by the City of St. Joseph redistricting the property located at 415, 423, 427, 429, 431, 435, 439, 443, and 447 N. 17th Street and 415, 419, 421, 422, 426, 428, 430, 438, 504, and 510 Kemper Street from C-3 Commercial District to R-2 Two Family Residential District in accordance with Section 31-003 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of St. Joseph, Missouri. WHEREAS, on September 29, 2025, the following Ordinance constituting the rezoning will be introduced for first reading by the Council of the City of St. Joseph, Missouri: An ordinance redistricting 415, 423, 427, 429, 431, 435, 439, 443, and 447 N. 17th Street and 415, 419, 421, 422, 426, 428, 430, 438, 504, and 510 Kemper Street from C-3 Commercial District to R-2 Two Family Residential District as requested by the City of St. Joseph. (Section 31-003.307) Lots 1-25 of Block 5, Landis’ Addition to the City of St. Joseph. NOW, THEREFORE, notice is hereby given to all citizens of the City of St. Joseph, Missouri, that the Council will hold a public hearing on October 13, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall on the aforesaid rezoning which will be introduced for passage and at which time all parties in interest and citizens will be given an opportunity to be heard and be informed as to the aforementioned Ordinance.
