Tracking rain chances and seasonable temperatures

Periodic rain and t-storm chances continue across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas through the weekend, with temperatures remaining seasonably mild and plenty of dry time as well.

Partly to mostly cloudy skies and a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms lingers Thursday evening. A few storms may contain small hail and gusty winds along and east of the I-35 corridor. Low temperatures will fall into the low 60s overnight with rain chances diminishing late. Patchy to widespread fog is possible early Friday morning, giving way to more sunshine for the afternoon with highs near 80 degrees and a 20% chance of stray showers.

A series of disturbances brings additional scattered rain chances, especially Saturday night and into Sunday. Despite multiple opportunities for rain this weekend, dry periods and peeks of sunshine are also anticipated with highs in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees and overnight lows in the 60s.
