Tracking above average temperatures and plenty of sunshine

Happy Monday, St. Joseph!

We’re waking up to milder temperatures across the region. Here in downtown St. Joseph, morning lows are in the mid-30s, and much of northwest Missouri is starting in the upper 30s and low 40s — giving us a break from those recent freezing mornings.

Through the day today, we’ll warm quickly into the mid-60s, near 63°, with plenty of sunshine.

Overnight tonight into Tuesday, winds will shift from the northeast to the south, bringing in warmer air and gusty conditions. That southerly flow will help temperatures climb into the low 70s for Tuesday.

We stay warm through Thursday, with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Scattered rain chances return on Thursday as a system moves in, and that will start a gradual cool-down toward the end of the work week.

By Friday and Saturday, highs drop back into the low to mid-60s, and by Sunday we’re back in the 50s.
