For the first day of November, the weather has consisted mostly of cloudy skies and cold temperatures. Afternoon temperatures are in the upper 40s, which is below average for this time of year. Temperatures will continue to drop below freezing tonight, with overnight lows expected in the upper 20s.

A Freeze Warning has been issued for Nov. 2 for Northwest Missouri and Atchison and Doniphan counties in Kansas. The warning will take effect at 1 a.m. and last until 8 a.m. Frost tonight could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.

Sunday morning will start off cold but gradually warm up throughout the day, reaching the upper 50s. Southerly winds will return, helping with the slight warm-up. Mostly sunny skies will prevail.

Sunny conditions will last throughout next week, and temperatures will continue to rise into the 60s.

Plus, tonight at 2 a.m., time will “fall back” one hour as daylight saving time ends. Don’t forget to set your clocks!
