Tracking light Tuesday rain and seasonable temperatures

Today’s weather will feel very similar to what we experienced on Monday. Morning temperatures will remain seasonable, starting off in the low to mid-60s. This afternoon, highs will reach the mid-70s for most, though some areas may stay in the upper 60s.

Light rain is possible from late morning into the early afternoon. However, with dry air in place, much of the rain may struggle to reach the ground. While not everyone will see precipitation, a few faint raindrops may fall across the area.

Tonight, fall-like conditions return as temperatures drop back into the low 60s. Looking ahead to Wednesday, expect a noticeable warm-up, with highs climbing near 84 degrees — about 10 degrees warmer than today. It will be another unseasonably warm day, as the average high for this time of year is typically in the upper 60s.

Warm and above-average temperatures will continue through Friday. By Friday afternoon, a strong cold front is expected to move through the region, bringing a chance for showers and possibly stronger thunderstorms. Behind the front, cooler air will settle in, with highs this weekend dropping back into the upper 60s and low 70s.
