Tracking an approaching cold front: showers likely and cooler temperatures

Warm and windy conditions again this afternoon with temperatures in the mid-80s. Southerly winds are sustained between 15 and 20 mph, gusting up to 30 mph. This does bring some concern for elevated fire weather, especially for agricultural fields. Skies will stay mostly dry tonight, but there is a slight chance of showers.
To start your Monday morning, showers and thunderstorms are likely. The severe risk is low, but heavy downpours and a few stronger isolated wind gusts are possible. Showers and storms will be scattered through the morning and afternoon before becoming more widespread in the evening. As the cold front slowly moves through, winds will shift to the north and begin to calm down, and help cool down temperatures. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid-70s with overnight lows in the low 50s.
A few showers could linger into Tuesday morning but mostly cloudy skies will prevail to start the day. Clouds will gradually decrease through the afternoon, and it will feel cooler with highs in the upper 60s. This cool stretch won’t last long as temperatures begin to warm back up starting Wednesday.
