Tracking a windy and hot evening: showers possible late Sunday

This afternoon, it’s windy and hot with temperatures in the upper 80s once again. The rest of your Saturday will stay sunny and breezy. Winds will come from the south at 10 to 15 mph, gusting up to 20 mph. Overnight lows will fall into the low 60s.
Sunday will start warm, with above-average temperatures continuing for this time of year. It will also be windy, with gusts up to 30 mph from the south. Highs will reach the mid-80s. A cold front will approach Sunday night, bringing a few showers that will likely become more widespread Monday morning. The severe threat is low but a few downpours are possible.
As the front moves through, it will leave behind cooler temperatures to start the workweek. By the end of the week, temperatures will rise again as this cool spell won’t last long.
