Tracking spotty showers tonight: severe thunderstorms possible Monday

For your Sunday afternoon, there is a chance for on-and-off light showers. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible later tonight, with a few potentially on the stronger side. The greatest risk for severe thunderstorms will remain south of Highway 36. Overnight lows will fall into the low 60s.
On Monday, skies will start off dry and likely stay that way through most of the day. By the afternoon and evening, there is a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms in our area, with higher chances late Monday into Tuesday. Some storms could be severe, as their is potential for gusty winds up to 60 mph and quarter-size hail. Highs will be in the low 80s for the first day of fall, with lows in the low 60s.
Widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely Tuesday, with the active pattern continuing into Wednesday and Thursday. By the weekend, conditions should turn drier, with a slight warm-up expected.
