Tracking a warm start to the work-week with several chances of rain
Temperatures started off warm Monday morning and are expected to climb quickly into the low to mid-70s after sunrise before reaching a high near 92 this afternoon.
A slight chance of sprinkles remains in the forecast, with about a 10% chance of rain throughout the day. Most areas will stay dry, though increased cloud cover is expected — keeping conditions very similar to Sunday.
Rain chances begin to increase Tuesday evening and continue through much of the workweek. No severe storms are expected, though a few rumbles of thunder are possible with scattered showers and mild thunderstorms.
Temperatures will begin a gradual cool-down this week. Highs in the low 90s and upper 80s will hold through Tuesday before dipping into the upper 70s for the remainder of the week. The average high for this time of year is near 80 degrees, so conditions will finally return to near — and even slightly below — normal by week’s end.
Looking ahead, next weekend appears dry with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.
