Tracking a mild and dry weekend

A cold front moved through Missouri early this morning, leaving the region with below-average and cool temperatures. Today, temperatures only climbed into the low to mid-60s — about 20 degrees below average.

Overnight, temperatures will drop into the mid- to low 40s, making for a cool and even chilly night for some. Clouds will move out of the area, giving way to sunshine on Saturday.

Saturday will be warmer than today, with highs in the low 70s. It will also bring the return of sunshine for the first time in several days.

Sunday will mark the beginning of a warming trend, with temperatures gradually increasing through the week. By the end of the week, temperatures are expected to return to near normal, around 85 degrees.

The weekend looks dry and sunny. Highs on Sunday will be near 76. Monday and Tuesday appear to be the main chances for rain, but no cold front is expected to cool temperatures back down just yet.
