UNDATED (AP) — The last time Nebraska sat out the bowl season for seven years in a row, the Big 12 was still the Big 8, the 10 schools in the Big Ten didn’t include the Cornhuskers, and Yankee Stadium was still the House that Ruth Built. That slump ended with an appearance in the short-lived Gotham Bowl at the original Yankee Stadium. The ballpark has been replaced, and so has the bowl game played in it. The Huskers will play Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl on Saturday, ending the longest active bowl drought in any of the power conferences.
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Former Wisconsin quarterback Braedyn Locke is headed to Arizona. Locke announced his decision in a post on X, giving the Wildcats two veteran quarterbacks with Noah Fifita returning. Locke sat out as a redshirt at Mississippi State in 2022 before throwing for 1,936 yards and 13 touchdowns with 10 interceptions for the Badgers last season. Arizona will have a new-look offense with the addition of offensive coordinator Seth Doege, a disciple of late Texas Tech coach Mike Leach.

Of the six women who have started for Maryland, four are transfers in their first season with the Terps. There was no way to know for sure how everyone would mesh. But the early signs are positive. No. 8 Maryland hosts No. 19 Michigan State on Sunday.
