Missouri Volleyball High School State Championship is set to be hosted at the St. Joseph Civic Arena.

Nets are set up for the Missouri State High School Activities Association Volleyball tournament.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Civic Arena will play host to the Missouri High School Volleyball State Championship throughout the latter half of the week.

The tournament, three years in the making, is set to take place from Wednesday, Nov. 5 through Saturday, Nov. 8.

Five different classes, each consisting of four teams, with a total of 20 Missouri schools, will compete in the tournament.

The tournament's end with crown another five state champions.

Excitement is through the roof, as the St. Joseph Sports Commission prepares to welcome the best of the best.

"A true state championship field this week, and we're excited for great girls high school volleyball here in St Joseph," said Brett Esely, the Director of Development at the St. Joseph Sports Commission.
