St. Joseph Fire Department responds to North 13th Street fire

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- The St. Joseph Fire Department responded to reports of a fire on the 1200 block of North 13th Street early Thursday morning.

When News-Press NOW arrived on-scene at about 2:30 a.m., the fire appeared to be partially under control.

Department officials said two abandoned buildings had caught fire and that it would likely take another hour to get them fully under control.

News-Press NOW will continue to monitor the situation for updates.
