Donald Trump leads his party toward disaster

We need to accept the truth. The United States is in crisis both at home and abroad.

Our legislators have passed laws that will deny health care and insurance protection to millions, particularly to those who need it most. The government, at the highest level, has saddled us with the high cost of tariffs, and the inflation that tariffs generate. China, once the buyer of a high percentage of U.S. soybeans, has bought none this year. China has turned instead to Brazil and Argentina for their supply.

Masked ICE enforcers round up dark skinned people on the street and at work who only appear to ICE to look like they may be undocumented immigrants. The Supreme Court has said that this profiling is legal to some extent, despite the fact that most are held in jail and denied due process. Our president has convinced Republican governors to redistrict their states to eliminate as many Democratic House members as possible. It is unethical and probably illegal.

Abroad we are fighting Proxy wars with both Hamas in Gaza and Putin in Ukraine, and a budding war with Venezuela. Despite a ceasefire proclamation there is still fighting in Gaza with no agreement on a possible peace solution. Putin plays games with President Trump. He agrees to summit meetings to string along the president while dropping even more deadly weapons on Ukraine. Putin has no obvious intention of negotiating a peace agreement.

The Trump administration is run mostly by amateurs who lack the experience and training to do their jobs. Think Hegseth and Kennedy for example. Their grievous programs are obvious to everyone except the majority in Congress who pretend not to see. Until they open their eyes or until voters replace them, the attack on U. S. democracy, and U. S. citizens will only escalate.

Only themselves to blame

Communist China stands on the verge of losing the greatest consumer market in the world, along with an export market for rare earth metals, desperately necessary for U. S. manufacturing of domestic goods and military weapons. If the Trump administration can target these desired rare minerals and metals in places like Australia and Argentina, for example, the Communist Chinese economy will be devastated! And they will only have themselves to blame!
