It’s Your Call for Sept. 12

Where can we hide?

Gunfire victims suffered death and serious injuries on Black Wednesday, September the 10th. A 10-year-old girl was shot and seriously injured while sleeping in her bedroom in St. Joseph, Missouri. A high school student in Evergreen, Colorado, shot two fellow students and then killed himself. Charlie Kirk, a rising political star, was assassinated while speaking with college students at Utah Valley University in Orem. The question is, where can we hide from this madness?

What's the reason?

Does anyone remember in the ‘70s and ‘80s when we didn't have all the hate and discord that we have in the world today? What's the reason?

What a hypocrite

Trump didn't waste any time blaming the left for what happened to Charlie Kirk, did he? Now he wants to give the guy the Medal of Freedom for what he's done. I don’t have anything against that. But why didn't he have the flags flown at half-staff for the Minnesota politicians who died? He didn't do that. He didn't give them any medals. The man is a hypocrite.

Big rip-off

Talk about a rip-off. I purchased a rental property, which has been empty for six weeks, but I did use some water while I was getting prepared. According to the water bill, it was 100 gallons, but that was basically rounded up probably from 51 gallons. I just got this sewer bill. $49.25. That's 50 cents a gallon for the water that was used. However, there's another eight days that I owned the house before it was rented and water was turned over to another person. During that time, there was no water used. It will be interesting when I get my next sewer bill, most likely another $49.25 for no water going down the drain.
