It’s Your Call for Sept. 1

An insult to the Chiefs and the NFL
It seems inconceivable that a graduate of Yale Law School, the Vice President of the United States, would say in an interview with USA Today that he hopes the NFL does not put a thumb on the scale for the Kansas City Chiefs just because Travis Kelce is now getting married to maybe the most famous woman in the world. Besides fueling already existing conspiracy theories about favoritism toward the Chiefs, it is also an insult to the integrity of the game, its officials, and the NFL itself. Like Trump's assertions before every election that if he loses, it's because it was rigged, JD Vance is perpetuating the notion that if the Chiefs get back to the Super Bowl this year, it's because the system was rigged.
A message to the city
Now this is a message to the City of Saint Joseph. One thing you don't do with the drainage ditch is you don't smash the pipes and you don't fill it up with dirt. You pour concrete so water can go down through there. It's a drainage ditch. It's to drain water.
Shame on you, Gov. Kehoe
Shame, shame, shame on the Governor of Missouri for calling a special session to try to cheat in the midterm elections and in future elections. He wants to redraw to gain another Republican seat. This is fixing the election. This is dishonest. It's horrible. It's absolutely awful.
Truly blessed
God truly blessed the middle schoolers in Minneapolis because they took the little kids and put them under the pews, and then God put their bodies on top the little bitty kids and that group survived.
