We miss having a pool

I think I'm not the only one in Saint Joe who really misses having a pool on these very hot days of summer. It just seems like the Parks Department was just dead set, starting at about 8 years ago, that they were going to close down the pools. They didn't want to mess with it anymore. We don't even have one pool in all this city where you can go and swim laps or just go and actually swim. Not sit in an inner tube in 2 feet of water, or like a little kid, go get splashed on, but actually have a place where you can stretch, exercise, swim and enjoy the summer. What a sad commentary on Saint Joe and the way we misuse our money. We will do the craziest projects, like tearing down the most beautiful balustrade at City Hall and spending all that money but refusing to fix a pool.

That's ridiculous

I appreciate your column in the paper about it's your call and I'm calling because of comments about Trump in the news daily about how ignorant he is. He can't remember that he's the one who put the reserve head in office, blames it on Biden or Obama, but also I want to highlight that Governor Kehoe has put public tax money for private education. I think that needs to be brought back and highlighted in your call because that's ridiculous. Republicans are destroying the country, but also, we need to vote them out of office in Missouri.
