It’s Your Call for April 30

Why do we need them?
I was wondering, last year I called four times. This year I've called twice about fixing an alley, and then I was told from one of the individuals there that we talked to, that it is our responsibility to take care of the alleys. Also, the pipe was bent in the alley, and they said that it’s our expense to replace that. What do we pay taxes for in this city? They just want to pass everything off to the individual. If they don't have a job to do, why do we need them? Get rid of the city road crew. They’re not doing their job.
Tell me why
Please explain why having five new built, or approved to be built, hotels are allowed and can afford to be built on the east side of town, yet the one downtown that they approved to destroy and rebuild has not been rebuilt because there was no money.
Revolving doors
Now, I have a question I'd like somebody to answer. If all these jobs in this town are so great, so fantastic, then why are they revolving doors? Why? You go out here to these restaurants, go out here these factories, and they go through people like people go through socks. There has to be a reason why, and it's not because people don't want to work. So, I want to know something. Is it a good job because of the name of it, or is it a good job because you're making 16, 17 bucks an hour? Sixteen/seventeen bucks an hour don't make a good job.Â
Incredibly sad times
I'm 85 years old. First-term Trump was the worst president of my lifetime. The entire 85 years, until we elected Trump for the second term. He is far, far worse. In these 100 days, he has alienated our allies and destroyed our reputation and respect in the world. Very sad times for the United States of America.
Just shut up
Just once, I'd like to wake up in the morning and not read or hear Democrats whining about President Trump. He's working for the American people and exposing all of the Democrats’ crime and fraud. They just can't stand it. But I wish they would just shut up.
