Lowry Jr., Leonard R. 1949-2026 Independence, Mo.

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – Leonard “Bob” Robert Lowry Jr., 77, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born Jan. 5, 1949, in Denver, Colorado.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Jacob Fleming; stepson, Tim Clark; sister, Barbara Blocker.

Survivors include wife, Edie Lowry; children: Lisa Lowry, Bob III and Cathy Morris; stepchildren: Jon (Lisa) Clark, Ron Fleming, and Chris (Christina) Clark; 23 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday with memorial services, public live stream and Military honors following at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, at the Rupp Funeral Home.
