James “Dick” Cook Jr., 72, St. Joseph, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, in St. Joseph. Born July 22, 1953, Louisburg, Kansas.

Preceded in death by parents and four siblings.

Survivors include one son; two daughters; two grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three siblings; and multiple friends.

Mr. Cook has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home.
