Francis Andrew Bremer, 84, of St. Joseph, passed away Jan. 14, 2026. Francis was born Oct. 17, 1941, in Ravenwood, Missouri, to John and Dorothy (Reed) Bremer.

Francis served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era, receiving an honorable discharge on June 14, 1967. He retired as an electrician with Owens & Corning Fiberglass in Kansas City, Kansas.

Survivors include his children, Annette Hollars (Louis), John Bremer (Sheryl), Patricia Kendrick (Dave); six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deanna, and his parents.

He enjoyed helping with the Boy Scouts and square dancing. He loved camping, fishing, and boating and was a member of the Midwest Camping Club.

Memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scout Troop 235 in care of Nodaway Valley Bank.

Services will be Monday, Jan. 19, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Entombment and military honors will follow at the Mausoleum in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
