Bridwell, William C. 1951-2025 Riverside, Mo.

RIVERSIDE, Mo. – William Craighead Bridwell, aged 74, of Riverside, Missouri, passed away on Dec. 4, 2025. He was born on Sept. 6, 1951, at Sister’s Hospital, in St. Joseph, to Dr. Robert K. Bridwell and Vivian M. Bridwell.
William worked with radios in his youth and was active in the Theatre at Central High School. He became a warrant officer in the U.S. Army, flew helicopters in Korea until being grounded by an automobile accident. He worked nights on computers at American Electric when computers were on reels. When systems were upgraded, he returned to school in Kansas City. His final career was with Burlington Railroad, repairing computerized parts all over the United States to keep the trains moving.
William is survived by a brother, Ken (Cathie) Bridwell; a sister, Annette Clayton; and seven nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Newcomer’s White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
