Johnson, Marie 1931-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Marie Johnson, 94, St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025.

Marie married the love of her life, Jesse “Butch” Johnson, on,July 30, 1949. Later in life, she was blessed to meet Francis Wampler. Not many people ever find love once, but she was lucky to have found it twice.

Marie enjoyed spending time with her best friend, Ed Whitten, dining out, playing cards, and visiting with friends. She was the luckiest woman ever at gambling.

Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Voices of Courage Child Advocacy Center.
