West, Mary A. 1947-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Mary Ann West, 78, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, in a St. Joseph health care center. She was born Jan. 7, 1947, in St. Joseph, daughter of the late Thelma and Marion Ridpath. She graduated from Cental High School class of 1965.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James West; siblings: John Ridpath, Charles Ridpath, and Alice Leach; and son-in-law, Mike Fanning.

Survivors include daughter, Stacey Fanning, of St. Joseph; and a granddaughter, Desirae (Cody) Solotar.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, at the Rupp Funeral Home, Chaplain Dennis Jones officiating. The Interment will be at the Leavenworth National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2025.
