Wampler, Darwin A. 1948-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Darwin Andrew Wampler, 77, St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025. He was born March 15, 1948, to Garold Sr. and Dorsey (Brant) Wampler, in St. Joseph.

Darwin enjoyed spending time with the love of his life, Jenny, whom he was married to for 27 years. He was the proud and loving dad to Marcy Renyer (Bryan), Mark Wampler (Liz), and Megan Wampler. He was the proud grandpa to eight grandchildren who all loved him very much. Darwin spent his entire career at Ag Processing, where his loyalty and work ethic were on display in various roles of responsibility. He was notorious for getting to work early to spend time with his colleagues and shoot the breeze. Darwin was witty, could even be ornery at times, was very meticulous, and was also known for always doing the right thing. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, going to the casino, and was a big Mizzou, Royals, and Chiefs fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, G.C. Wampler, Jr. and Janila Wampler Graff.

Additional survivors include his grandchildren, Colton Renyer, Blake Renyer, Remington Renyer, Halle Wampler, Preslie Wampler, Roxsen Wampler, Landry Wampler, and Oakley Wampler; siblings, Nancy Clay, Randy Wampler, and Ronda Glise.

The family will gather with friends 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
