Steele, Gary A. Neenah, Wis.

Gary A. Steele
NEENAH, Wis. – Gary Allan Steele heard the words, “Well done thou good and faithful servant” as he entered Heaven, Sept. 15, 2025, in Neenah, Wisconsin. He was the son of Walter Lee and Emily (Winfrey) Steele.
Gary retired as Food Service Manager of Western Reception Diagnostic Center, in St. Joseph. He had previously been in management for McDonald’s, Hudson Foods, and Rath Packing, Co.
Gary was currently a member of Faith Global Methodist Church, of Neenah. He had been a faithful member of Patee Park Baptist Church in St. Joseph serving as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, Co-leader of the Team Kid Program, worked in the Food Pantry, served as a nursery worker, and even helped in the Day Care when a need came up. He also drove the church van often. Gary touched many lives by helping anyone he knew that needed help.
Missing him dearly are his wife of nearly 67 years, Sheryl Steele; daughters, Cynthia (John) Kessel, Allana (Vaughn) Steele; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sarah Steele; brother, Charles (Gloria) Steele; brother-in-law, Tony Carter; and many nieces and nephews. Gary will be remembered with so much love by all who had the privilege of knowing him, for his sense of humor, and for his love of Jesus and his family.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sherilyn Steele; and brother, Walter Lee Roy Steele.
A celebration of life will be held in St. Joseph in May of 2026, date, time and place to be determined. One life lived, many lives touched.
Any memorial contribution can be given to Patee Park Baptist Church general fund, in St. Joseph.
We are very thankful for the care and kindness given by Fox Crossings Care Partners and Bristol Hospice.
