Hildenbrand, Dale 1953-2025 Cameron, Mo.

CAMERON, Mo. — Dale Heldenbrand, 72, of Cameron, Missouri, passed away peacefully Sept. 27, 2025, at his home. He was born, May 16, 1953, to Alva and Hazel (Gould) Heldenbrand in Winston, Missouri.

Dale was a graduate of Winston High School. His talents on the high school basketball team earned him a basketball scholarship to University of Central Missouri where he received a bachelor’s degree in education. Dale taught history, health and physical education as well as coaching basketball and track, at Winston and Gilman City. After teaching he went on to work for Dr. E.R. Schmidt as a retail, rental, construction and maintenance manager. He then was employed by the Missouri Department of Corrections in Cameron as recreation officer and received many honors as employee of the month. Dale was always known as a bargain shopper.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Hazel.

Dale is survived by his wife, Barbara, of the home; children, Cassie Heldenbrand, St. Joseph, Jamie Heldenbrand, Cameron, Travis (Tiffany) Heldenbrand, Cameron, Heather (Chuck) Willits, Cameron, Ian Baldwin, Long Beach California, Hannah (Chris) Bain, Cameron, Mallory Baldwin, Cameron; eight grandchildren, Shalayna, Chase, Emery, Declan, Amelia, Charlotte, Iris, Mika; brothers, Bud Heldenbrand, Dallas, Texas, Bill Heldenbrand, St. Joseph.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Kidder United Methodist Church.

Visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, at Poland-Thompson Chapel, Cameron. Services, 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, at Kidder United Methodist Church, Kidder, Missouri. Burial in Winston Cemetery, Winston, Missouri.
