Jenna Shepheard, 36, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

She was born August 2, 1989 in St. Joseph to Jim and Nancy (Griffin) Martin. Jenna grew up in Cameron, Missouri, and graduated from Cameron High School in 2008. She earned her Medical Assistant degree from Vatterott College, then worked as a medical assistant for KU Med Mid-America Cardiology for more than 10 years.

On October 6, 2018, Jenna married Michael Dewayne Shepheard II, who survives of the home.

Jenna was an exceptional, devoted mother and loving wife who loved her children immensely and found them to be her greatest joy and purpose. She went to every sporting event and was their biggest fan, always positive and encouraging to her children and family. She filled their lives with boundless love, unwavering support and endless laughter.

Jenna will be remembered for being sassy, quick-witted and funny, with a generous heart and radiant personality that touched everyone she met.

Though her time with us was far too short, the light she brought to the world will continue to shine brightly. Her memory will live on through the laughter of her children and the love she so freely gave. We are devastated by this loss but are forever grateful for the time we had with our beautiful Jenna.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Melvin and Billie Griffin and Herman and Elsie Martin.

Survivors include her husband, Michael; children, JaKobe, JaKyrin, JaKarter, and Kollyns Shepheard; step-son, Nathan Talley; her parents, Jim and Nancy Martin; brother, Wesley Martin, his wife, Chris, and their children, Kasey and Levi; half-brother, Wayne Martin (Amy); half-sister, Diana Baum (Jeff); parents-in-law, Alton and Tanya Gore and Terry Ford; sister-in-law, La’Sha Shepheard and her children, JerMarius and JerMarques Shepheard; grandparents-in-law, Otis and Minnie Davis, and Gaylen Green; numerous nieces and nephews.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Cameron Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family requests contributions to Jenna’s Funeral Fund.
