DALLAS, Texas – Amy Margaret Robertson, July 15, 1992 to Sept. 13, 2025.

Our world is a little dimmer without the bright light and joy of Amy Margaret Robertson. Her natural joy and beautiful smile will be sadly missed.
Amy was born in St. Joseph on July 15, 1992. She is the daughter of Janey Robertson Johnston and Matthew Johnston. She spent her first 6 years in St. Joseph, and then her family moved to Columbia, Missouri. She attended Fairview Elementary, in Columbia, through fifth grade. While in Columbia she gained two new siblings, received her First Holy Communion at Our Lady of Lourdes and made life long friendships. After fifth grade her family moved back to St. Joseph and she attended St. Francis Xavier for middle school. She had very fond memories of her time at St. Francis Xavier. During this time she gained two more siblings. She was the ultimate big sister. About this time she found her passion for swimming. She was on the swim team from sixth grade through high school and continued it throughout her adult life. She went on to graduate from Central High School in 2011. While in high school her Catholic faith and love for God started to become more important. Her involvement with many mission trips developed her love for Jesus even more. She had a profound knowledge of her faith that taught many of us so much. Because of family members that lived in Colorado, she had the opportunity to move there after high school where she made beautiful friends, and got involved with the Saint Thomas Aquinas parish in Boulder. While in Colorado she worked for Saint Gabriel’s House for single mothers and Bella Health and Wellness, a life affirming faith based OB-GYN. She got involved with mission trips to El Salvador, Mexico City, Sisters for Life in New York City, Totus Tuus youth program, and went to Poland and Europe for World Youth Day in 2016. She loved her time in Denver and Boulder with her family and friends and made her very best memories there.
Amy had a great enthusiasm for all sports. She loved watching and cheering on the Chiefs, Colorado Buffalos, Mizzou Tigers, Royals and professional tennis. She loved being with her family, practicing her faith, swimming, going to the ocean, going on walks, her coffee drinks, being with friends, hosting parties, reading, and loved music. Amy had such great taste and loved her shopping too. She knew the true meaning of friendship, and was a great friend to others.
In January of 2022 Amy moved to Dallas, Texas, to start a new adventure working for Bishop Robert Barron and Word on Fire. She had a great experience at Word on Fire until December of 2022 when she was diagnosed with AML Leukemia. That is when we saw what Amy was really made of. Her strength, courage and faith was so inspiring during her fight against AML. She even completed 18 hours of college credit during her illness. She was an amazing advocate for herself with all of her health challenges along this journey. The love, support and prayers she received from all helped her so much during this time
Amy’s parents, friends, aunts, uncles, cousins and siblings meant so much to her. She was all about faith, family and friends. We will continue her legacy of faith, love and natural joy.
Amy is survived by her parents; siblings, Sarah, Jeffrey, Patrick, Timothy, Josie, Katie and Trey; many loving and supportive aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
Donations may be given in honor of Amy Margaret to St. Francis Xavier School, Bishop Leblond High School or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. with the Rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2025 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Fr. Ryan Oneal, and Fr. Garrett King con-celebrants. The interment will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, St. Joseph.
