Hicks, Steven D. 1973-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Steven DeWayne Hicks, 52, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, in St. Joseph. He was born June 20, 1973, in Chelsea, Massachusetts, son of the late, Nancy Mahoney and Gerald Hicks.

He worked at Walmart as a Retail Manager. Steven was a hard-worker who loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid coin collector and one of the nicest people you would get the chance to meet.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, William Steven Hicks Jr.; and brother, Timothy Ryan Hicks.

Survivors include son, William (Sydney) Hicks Sr., of St. Joseph; daughter, Brittany Harms; grandchildren, Brandon, Aryah, Myracle, and Farris; and numerous step-children and other grandchildren.

Mr. Hicks has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. There are no scheduled services at this time. Memorials are requested to the Steven Hicks Memorial Fund in Care of Rupp Funeral Home.
