Brown, Donald M. 1934-2025 Fort Worth, Tx.

FORT WORTH, Tx. -Donald M. Brown, 91, passed away Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025.
The only child of Miles L. Brown and Dorothy (Barbee) Brown, he was born on May 17, 1934, in St. Joseph. He graduated from Dearborn High School in Dearborn, Missouri in 1952.
He worked on the family farm outside of Dearborn, raising livestock, corn and soybeans until 2015 when he sold it and moved to Texas to be closer to his daughter and grandson.
In addition to the farm, Don had a knack for mechanics and had a shop where he would often help family and neighbors with repairing their tractors, vehicles and other machinery. It later came in handy with fixing his grandson’s robot toys. Don was an avid fan of NASCAR, watching the races every weekend. He also liked learning and seeing trains and was excited to see the “Big Boy” steam locomotive roll through Fort Worth not too long ago.
He was preceded in death by his father, Miles L. Brown; and mother, Dorothy (Barbee) Brown.
Don is survived by his wife, Maxine L. Brown; his daughter, Jeanel Y. Ragan (Patrick); and stepchildren, Sabina L. Button (Keith), Shelby L. Harvel (Chris), and Michael L. Eaton (Gina); along with their nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Private Graveside Farewell Service and Inurnment, Memorial Park Cemetery. Celebration of Life 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, Family Worship Center, 12293 County Road 438, Country Club, Missouri.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
