Vickie C. Lewis, 64, St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025.

She was born March 27, 1961 to Cecil R. and Marjorie L. (Harmon) Lundy in St. Joseph.

In 1979, she achieved becoming the first female commander in the ROTC program at Lafayette High School. Her commitment to service was highlighted by her recognition as a Lampion at Lafayette.

After high school, Vickie translated her passion for helping others into a career as a health professional. She became a licensed practical nurse, a role she performed with extraordinary care and expertise for more than three decades.

Vickie’s personal life blossomed as she joined her life with Joe Edward Lewis on Aug. 29, 2008. Vickie’s role as a loving mother, wife, and grandmother was at the core of her existence.

Faith played a significant role in Vickie’s life; she was a devoted member of Grace Calvary Chapel.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Lundy.

Survivors include her husband, Joe; sons, Brian Wilson and Jeff Wilson (Megan); grandchildren, Clara, Tristen, Mackenzie, Jacob, Faryn, and Kennon Wilson; mother, Marjorie Call (Leroy); sisters, Janet Adams and Diane Nickerson; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10 a.m. Monday, Grace Calvary Chapel.

Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will gather with friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
