McMichael, Ruth A. 1956-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Ruth Ann McMichael, 69, St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025. She was born April 15, 1956, to Ernest and Evadine (Marriott) Adams, in Norborne, Missouri.

Ruth married Tony Lee McMichael on Aug. 29, 2016.

In her professional journey, Ruth’s ethic was exemplified through the years she spent at Montgomery Wards. She later ventured into her own business, operating a cleaning service.

She adored her kids and grandchildren, whose lives she touched with her unfaltering love and support. An avid enthusiast of treasure hunting, Ruth could often be found at garage sales and thrift stores rummaging for finds.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Melvin Adams and Gearldean Hibdon.

Survivors include her husband, Tony; children, Angela Kepner (Terry), Tanya Wegenka (Chris), and Jason Cone (Kristina); grandchildren, Lorrie Kepner, Amber Godfrey, Kaylee Kepner, Tiffany Sollars, Rachelle Cone, and Kaydence Throckmorton; great-grandchildren, Leianna Smith, Landon Kepner, Delaney Wilson, ParkLynn Smith, A’maeleon Burns, and Tyvon Williams; sisters, Erma Silvey (Gary), and Mary Baker; several nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, Remington Nature Center.
