Flora, Herman E. 1944-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Herman Eugene “Gene” Flora, 81, of St. Joseph, passed away Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, in a St. Joseph health care center. He was born April 7, 1944, son of the late Louise (Lassiter) and Herman Flora.

He worked as a farm worker with his parents for many years. He enjoyed jig saw puzzles, working in the garden, picking and shelling walnuts.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; two half brothers, Floyd and Willie Flora.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Weston, Missouri. Pastor Crystal Dooley officiating.
