Miller, Toby E. 1958-2025 Parkville, Mo.
PARKVILLE, Mo. – Toby Earl Miller, 67, Parkville, Missouri, passed away on Aug. 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Toby was born in Cameron, Missouri, on March 5, 1958, to Earl and Patricia (Morgan) Miller. He was raised in Hamilton, Missouri.
After graduating from Penney High School, Toby studied and completed degrees from Northwest Missouri State University, Missouri Western State University, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He held Bachelor of Science degrees in Broadcasting Communications, Business Computer Science, Accounting, and a Master of Science in Nursing.
Toby had many careers throughout his lifetime. These included radio broadcasting, accounting, and nursing as a FNP in emergency rooms throughout Missouri and Texas. He also served with Customs and Border Protections.
Toby had many interests in his lifetime. He was an avid reader and researcher. He loved traveling and photography. In his earlier years, he earned a black belt in karate. He was also a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity.
Toby was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Pat Miller.
Survivors include his sisters, Christie (Scott) Holferty, Parkville, Missouri, Tricia (Mike) Trussell, Cameron, Donna Byard, Alvaton, Kentucky; niece, Paige (Kyle) DeLong, Kansas City, Missouri; nephews, Christian Holferty, North Kansas City, Missouri, Miles Trussell, Cameron; great-nephews, Daniel DeLong, Kansas City, Andrew DeLong, Kansas City, and uncle, Lee Miller (Shirley), Basehor, Kansas. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton, Missouri. Celebration of Life Service: 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, in the Family Life Center of the Hamilton Methodist Church, Hamilton. Formal Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m., one hour prior to the service on Sept. 13, in the Family Life Center of the Hamilton Methodist Church.
