OMAHA, Neb. – We are saddened to announce the passing of Charles “Nick” Nicholson, 73. He passed away on Aug. 6, 2025, at home in Omaha, Nebraska.

Nick is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mardi Nicholson; daughters, Erynn Butzke and Erica Nicholson; a son, Charles Nicholson IV; and six grandchildren, including foster babies; his father, Charles junior; his sisters and brothers: Kenneth Nicholson, Vanessa Nichols (Reggie), Lisa Bland (Keith), and David Nicholson; and many nieces and nephews.

Nick was cremated under the direction Good Shepherd Funeral and Cremation Services, in Omaha. A memorial service is being held in St. Joseph on Aug. 30, 1 p.m., at Meierhoffer Funeral Home, St. Joseph. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
