Middaugh, Betty L. 1941-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Betty L. Middaugh, 84, of St. Joseph, passed away Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, at Mosaic Life Care, in St. Joseph. She was born Jan. 7, 1941, daughter of Irene and Cloyd Middaugh.

She loved children, having cared for generations of children, working in the King Hill Baptist Nursery for over 50 years. She also enjoyed bird watching, going to garage sales and was an avid collector of Bells, Birds and Figurines.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, and her dear friends, Judy and Sonny Wilson.

Survivors include her dear friends, Heather and Randy Richardson, Jeremy and Sadie Wilson, all of St. Joseph, and their children, whom she was a bonus grandmother to and all the other many children she loved and cared for.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will follow services at the Odd Fellows Public Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the American Diabetes Association.
