Wahlert, Anna Dell 1929-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Anna Dell Wahlert, 95, St. Joseph, passed away Monday, Aug. 18, 2025. She was born Nov. 16, 1929, in St. Joseph, to John and Julia (Delaney) Banker. She was a 1947 graduate of Benton High School and attended St. Joseph Junior College.
Anna Dell married Lowell E. Wahlert on Sept. 2, 1949. He preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 2006.
She was a faithful servant of the Community of Christ, where she served as a deacon for many years, reached out to many through family ministry, and was involved in the Daytimers Women’s Group. She also was involved in family camps and youth ministry at Camp Farwesta.
Anna Dell enjoyed attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and loved family time together, especially at Christmas.
She was a kind, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose family could trust that she was holding them up in prayer every day.
Her family thanks the staff of Freudenthal Hospice and Field Pointe for their excellent care of Anna Dell.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Lowell; her parents; sons, Rod Wahlert and Ron Wahlert; daughter-in-law, Patty Wahlert; grandsons, Mark Wahlert and Bradley Wahlert; and great-grandson, Quaid Coy.
Survivors include her children, Jack Wahlert (Randie), Craig Wahlert (Frances), and John Wahlert (Sheila); daughter-in-law, Liz Wahlert; grandchildren, David Wahlert (Kaysie), Josh Wahlert (Karrie), Thad Wahlert, Shanon Speaker (Brian), Dana Smith (Mike), Jenny Bigham (Jabin), Andee Coy (Johnny), Jaime Neff (Chris), Daniel Wahlert, and Kristan Wahlert; great-grandchildren, Delaney, Riley, Isabelle, Boston, Jack, Gracie, Jon, Olive, Banker, Danica, Zach, Ali, Tabor, Kruz, Livi, Will, Cam, Kyler, Syrus, Gwen, and Walter; nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10 a.m. Saturday, Abundant Life Center. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family suggests memorial contributions to Abundant Life Center or Camp Farwesta.
