Tebow, Kenneth D. 1939-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Kenneth D. Tebow, 85, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025, at Mosaic Life Care, in St. Joseph. He was born Nov. 9, 1939, in Hayes, Kansas, son of Margaret and Clair Tebow. He graduated from Benton High School, class of 1958. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving 10 years during the Vietnam War.

On June 12, 2000, he married Hazel Embrey, in St. Joseph. For many years, Ken worked as a Diesel Mechanic, retiring from Ruan Trucking. He was a wonderful and creative man. He loved watching the deer in his yard and was a devoted KC Chiefs and KC Royals fan.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Alexine Tebow; and brother Dwaine Tebow.

Survivors include wife, Hazel Tebow, of the home; children, Gary Tebow, Kathy Cordonnier, Pam Moran and Amy Miller; step-children, David Embrey, Danny Embrey, Kathy Conway, Donnie Embrey and Tammy Ashford; sister, Audrey Mulkey; and brother, Donald Tebow; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Mr. Tebow will be cremated following services. Memorials are requested to the American Lung Association.
