Parker, Cleo W. 1938-2025 Savannah, Mo.

SAVANNAH, Mo. – Cleo William Parker, of Savannah, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Aug. 9, 2025, at Mosaic Hospital, at the age of 87. Born on May 20, 1938, in Cosby, Missouri.
He worked for LaRon Meats for 25 years in Cosby.
Cleo found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and spent many fulfilling hours fishing and camping. Whether casting a line into a quiet stream or sitting around a campfire under the stars, these moments brought him peace and connection to nature. He also took great satisfaction in mowing-an activity that reflected both his love for the land and his steady work ethic.
Cleo is lovingly remembered by his wife, Joy Parker to whom he was married for 56 years. He leaves behind a devoted family who brought him great pride and joy throughout his life. His son, Gary Parker, of Jefferson, Iowa; daughter, Brenda and Shane Schenkel, of Lawrence Kansas; grandchildren, Devin and Durant Parker, Michaela, Reed, Hannah and Ella Schenkel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron D. and Pearl M. Parker; his sister, Rachel Maxine Parker.
A memorial service honoring Cleo’s life will held in Savannah, Missouri, on Saturday, Aug. 23 , 2025, at Breit and Hawkins Funeral Home. Visitation at 1 to 2 p.m. Memorial Service at 2 p.m. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
