SAVANNAH, Mo. – Kathy K. Lance, 77, of Savannah, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Kathy was born on March 10, 1948, in St. Joseph, to the late Franklin and Erma Hubbard.

She graduated from Lafayette High School and earned an Associates Degree at Missouri Western State University. For more than 29 years Kathy worked for Quaker Oats. She also enjoyed being a substitute teacher.

On May 7, 1988, Kathy married Ken Fisher in Las Vegas. She loved her family, cruising and gambling.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Stephen Lance; sisters, Hazel James and Bonnie Locklin; brothers, Junior Hubbard, Bert Hubbard and Greg Hubbard.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Ken Fisher; son, Ernie Lance (Shelly); daughter, Tuesday (Rodney), Lincoln; granddaughters, Lacey (Seth) Voelkel, and Brittany (Tristen) Stagner grandsons, Tyler and Conner (Rachel) Fisher; and eight great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Brown; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel. Private family Inurnment will be held at the Savannah Cemetery at a later date.

The family suggests memorial contributions to The Savannah R-III School District for negative lunch balances, 408 West Market, Savannah, MO 64485. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
