LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. – Jo Elayne Page (Shively), 77, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, at 1:35 p.m., surrounded by her loving family. Jo was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on April 15, 1948, and grew up in Braymer, Missouri, as the youngest of three sisters.

She graduated from Braymer High School in 1966. Then went on to graduate from the University of Central Missouri, in Warrensburg, in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Textiles and Clothing. A proud member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and named the Sweetheart of the Theta Chi fraternity in 1970. She was also well known on campus for her timeless style and was honored as one of the “Top 10 Best Dressed Women.”

On Oct. 6, 1973, Jo married the love of her life and college sweetheart, Jesse William “JW” Page. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter, and family. They adopted two children, Cody Lee Page in 1986 and Sunny Elizabeth Page in 1988, and made their home in Lee’s Summit, where Jo dedicated herself to her family and community.

Jo spent most of her career as a records clerk with the Lee’s Summit Police Department, where she was known for her strong work ethic and warm spirit. Outside of work, she was an exceptional cook, a dog lover, and someone whose joy for life was evident in her contagious laugh and radiant smile. She took great pride in her home, her wardrobe (she was, after all, a self-proclaimed clothes horse), and above all, her family.

Jo’s greatest joys were her roles as a devoted wife, loving mother, adoring grandmother, and proud aunt. Jo spent countless amounts of time attending sports games for her kids and grandson.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, JW Page; her son, Cody Lee Page (39); daughter, Sunny Elizabeth Page (37); her treasured grandson, Chance William Page (14). She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Candy, and her cherished niece and nephew, Kizan Alynn Williams and James Matthew Shepherd, along with one great-niece and three great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ola LaVerne Shively, William Roosevelt Shively, and sisters Patricia Anne Ellison, and Janice Sue Crocket

A visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Langsford Funeral Home, in Lee’s Summit, with a service to follow at 7 p.m. For those unable to attend, a graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, at Sugar Creek Cemetery, in Rushville, Missouri.

Jo will be remembered for her grace, humor, generosity, and unwavering love. Her memory will live on in all who knew and loved her
