Vejar, Linda L. 1953-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Linda Louise Derry Vejar, 72, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, in St. Joseph. Born on Aug. 22, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Betty (Childers Faulk) and Lawrence Derry.

Linda had a profound love for music, books, and cooking, embracing family traditions in the kitchen and creating meals that brought joy to gatherings. Her enthusiasm for music and literature inspired those around her.

She is survived by her son, Kris, and his wife, April, as well as her cherished granddaughter, Jade. They reside in Ohio, holding onto the fond memories of Linda.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the “Gurlies” at Advanced Care of St Joseph, where Linda spent her last two years. Their compassionate care significantly impacted her life, and the family is truly grateful for their support.

Linda’s vibrant spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to a charity of choice.

Rest in peace, dear Linda. You will always be in our hearts.
