BRANSON WEST, Mo. – Alberta (Biller) Cooper died peacefully in her home on July 24, 2025, in Branson West, Missouri, at the age of 80. She was born on Aug. 11, 1944, in St. Joseph, to Andrew and Wava Biller.

She graduated from The Covenant of Sacred Hearts (LeBlond High School) and attended Co-Cathedral Parish. She married Ernie Cooper in 1964. Ernie and Alberta had two daughters, Marca and Christi. Alberta taught swimming lessons in St. Joseph for many years. She loved swimming, arts and crafts, crocheting, and shopping. In 2005 Alberta and Ernie moved to Branson West. She was a member of Our Lady of the Cove Parish. She was a Eucharist Minister and volunteered until she was no longer able.

Alberta is proceeded in death by her husband, Ernie Cooper; her parents, Andrew and Wava Biller; her sisters, Mary Searcy and Ruth Athay; her brother, Fr. Andrew Biller, and her brothers-in-law, Gerald Searcy Sr., Charles Athay, Gary Cooper, and Mickey Cooper.

Alberta is survived by her sister, Rita Ward; her daughters, Marca (Steve) Robinson and Christi (Raymond) Munger; grandchildren, Abbey Robinson, Amber (Gabe) Sego, Morgan (Rae) Hays, Cooper (Jess) Hays, Ray (Kara) Munger, Hadley (Jared) Jorgensen, Bailey Weidmaier, Evan Clemmons, Peyton Munger; and great- grandchildren, Ashur, AJ, Layla, Gus, Anabelle, Emelia, Rhett, Ayla and Wesley.

Funeral services will be at a later date with a reception to follow at Our Lady of the Cove, Kimberling City, Missouri. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
