Gilmore, Rae Ann 1932-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Rae Ann (Hester) Gilmore, 92, St. Joseph, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025, at Mosaic Life Care.

She was born Oct. 8, 1932, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Robert and Florence (Bennett) Hester and moved to Craig, Missouri at a young age.

Rae Ann married Chester J. Gilmore on July 4, 1952. They were married for 65 years before his passing in 2017.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert and Michael Hester; and daughter-in-law, Linda Gilmore.

Survivors include four sons, Chuck (Judy), Steave, Mike (Rita) and Rick Gilmore; one daughter, Christina DePriest (Don); sister, Judy Jenkins; 27 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Rae Ann was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1 p.m. Saturday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7 N. Carriage Dr.

Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will gather with friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory and one hour prior to the service at the Church.
