Headrick, Anita L. 1940-2025 Riverside, Mo.

RIVERSIDE, Mo. – Anita Lorine Headrick, 85, of Riverside, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025, at North Kansas City Hospital. She was born Feb. 18, 1940, in Indianola, Oklahoma, daughter of Mary and Carlton Lewis.

She graduated from high school in McAllister, Oklahoma, and married Wayne Headrick in Alameda, California. She worked for the Dept. of Labor in Job Core as Student Placement Coordinator, she also worked at the Betheseda Naval Hospital.

Anita was very active in girl and boy scouts, and was a member of the Frederick Blvd Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother who loved her family and God.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne Leroy Headrick Sr.; daughter, Dianna Headrick; brother, Leroy Lewis; and sister, Dorothy Harris.

Survivors include daughter, Sharon Headrick, of Independence, Missouri; daughter, Patricia Headrick, of Kansas City, Kansas; son, Wayne (Jeanna) Headrick Jr., of Kansas City, Kansas; grandchildren, Jonathan Dinwiddie, Kenneth Jarred, Kayla Jarred, Paul Headrick, Dawn Shadwell, Daniel Heltzel and Joseph Heltzel; numerous great- grandchildren; and her sister, Debbie Williams, of Oklahoma.

The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday with funeral services and public live stream 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the Rupp Funeral Home. Cliff Black officiating. The Interment will be at the Leavenworth National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
