Miller, Janet L. 1944-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Janet E. Miller, 80, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in a Kansas City hospital surrounded by her family. She was born Dec. 16, 1944, in St. Joseph, daughter of the late Velma and Earl West.

Janet was preceded in death by husband, Hillert “Sonny” Miller; her parents; and a brother, Richard.

Survivors include four children, Becky (Travis) Caw, Dean (Danielle) Miller, Jerry (Dawn) Miller, and Dan (Brandi) Miller, Winston, Missouri; eight grandchildren; six great- grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Rupp Funeral Home, St Joseph. Graveside services: 10 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Please wear your favorite Chiefs shirts. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to the American Heart Association.
